Entertaining is in my DNA. My beloved mom, Mary Bevilacqua, was a fabulous hostess who always welcomed neighbors, family and friends over for impromptu luncheons, home cooked meals, lovely dinner parties, festive holidays, and joyous family celebrations. I always admired how warm and inviting she made the entire experience feel—never stuffy or stressful—just lovely and memorable.
Truth be told, I’m worried entertaining at home is becoming a lost art form! There is something so beautiful about extending an invitation to old or new friends to gather at your home, in your nest, that creates such a special connection. What I hear over and over again is “oh, I could never entertain, it’s too stressful”. What I can assure you is with the right planning, little touches and menu prep, you can create a memorable gathering at your home. It doesn’t need to be fancy - it just needs to have effort and thought behind your gathering.

I have hosted countless gatherings throughout my life—always thinking of ways to get together and enjoy time with friends and family. For ten years when my kids were little, I had my own event planning company, I Thee Wed, LLC. While I loved seeing 100+ weddings come to fruition after months of planning, my focus now is the art of gathering at home.
Perhaps you need guidance on an easy menu you can prepare yourself for a girls get together, cocktail party or intimate dinner party. Or, maybe you are hosting a small celebration - bridal or baby shower, milestone birthday or engagement party where you need assistance. I can help you find the right caterer/vendors within your budget while adding the special touches that will leave your guests with full hearts of gratitude.

Depending on the size of your cocktail party, all logistics will be carefully orchestrated to ensure you can enjoy the evening much as your guests!

There are endless ways to make a dinner party enjoyable for your guests and, as important, stress-free for you as the hostess!

Invite a few couples over to enjoy a “sip, socialize and learn” gathering by hosting a wine tasting. I work with a wonderful, local wine shop owner who will educate you and your friends on the glorious world of wine.

Open house brunches are so easy and enjoyable to host! Friends help themselves to a lovely buffet of savory and sweet offerings, and make your own mimosas or bloodies station. Catching up in person early on in the day is the best!
